Wow, wandered away
Well, here it is 5 months later and I finally remembered I had a blog. Lol. Weight loss journey progresses and I am down 50lbs now. Fitness improves all the time, the fitbit is pushing me to new heights of getting busy so that has really helped my weight loss. Basically 20 lbs to go, woot. I will try during this last 20 to be more consistent in posting since this is the hard part.

A new beginning
Saw a friends blog today and she gave me a great idea so I am going for it also. This is going to be my continuing journey to being slim and fit. Maybe it will only be for me, maybe some days others will come on by.
This all started October 22, 2011 when my hubby ended up in the hospital with a health scare. Turned out to be related to his diabetes. At that point I said, we need to change. So, being the leader I started shifting our habits into a new mode, cooking more, eating out rarely and making good choices for everyone in the house.
The hubby is doing much better already and so far I've lost 24 pounds. Started this journey at 238 pounds and a 49 inch waist, now down to 39 inch waist and 214 pounds.
Started working out at home for 2 months and joined a gym in December, I have a lot farther to go so the hubby says, no gym just yet, lol.
I'll try to post at least weekly to let everyone keep up with this journey. My first goal, onederland, I haven't been under 200 pounds in 35 years, this should be fun.
